Quilter Cheviot analyst Jonathan Raymond said Tuesday Q1 2026 UK GDP grew 0.6%, signalling a strong start to the year. He warned Middle East geopolitical tensions and domestic political uncertainty could slow growth. "Q1 may be the peak of growth rather than the start of a sustained recovery," he said.
