A University of Southampton-led international team says it achieved the first room-temperature self-synchronization of multiple micro‑lasers, producing a coherent, reconfigurable light source. Researchers say the result, published in Nature Communications, uses mature materials and could provide a pathway to lower-cost, reconfigurable and more widely deployable photonic computing hardware.
