Bulgaria's defense minister Stoyanov said on Aug 25 that U.S. tanker aircraft which departed the Bezmer airbase in eastern Bulgaria on Aug 21 have no plans to return. He said Bulgaria's parliament approved stationing the tankers at Bezmer until Oct 1 in July, but the U.S. has since confirmed the aircraft will not be redeployed to the base.
