CNOOC said on Aug 9 Phase I of the Bohai 19-6 gas field in the central Bohai Sea has been fully commissioned, producing more than 5,200 tonnes oil-equivalent per day. The field has proven gas geological reserves exceeding 200 bln m3 and proven liquid hydrocarbon reserves over 200 mln m3. Reservoirs lie deeper than 5,000m, with wide distribution and complex reservoir types, making development significantly harder than conventional offshore fields.
